Prices and Payment
Tickets are required to use Yoyaq. The number of tickets required for making reservations on Yoyaq depends on the interpreter. You can choose from spot plans, which allow you to purchase the number of tickets you need, or monthly discount plans, which allow you to purchase a certain number of tickets monthly at a discount. Choose whichever plan suits your needs.
Spot plans
These spot plans allow you to purchase only the tickets you need whenever you need them. We recommend the “Trial spot” and “Short spot” for those wanting to give the service a try for a short time period, the “Morning/afternoon spot” for those wishing to use the service for several hours in the morning or afternoon, and the “Extended spot” for those wishing to use the service for a whole day.
- The number of tickets required depends on the interpreter. Note that the amount of time that can be reserved will vary accordingly.
- Sometimes meetings go longer than expected, but the interpreting service will end after the allotted time, so we recommend having some leeway when purchasing tickets.

- Slots are 25 minutes each, but when you reserve consecutive spots, the interpreting service will continue for the reserved amount of time without interruption. However, interpreting requires concentration, so the slots are 25 minutes long to ensure that interpreters have a five minute break every hour or a 15 minute break when interpreting for more than an hour and a half continuously. Thank you for your understanding.
- Tickets are valid for one month, from the payment date to one day before the same date of the following month. For example, if you purchase tickets on October 10th, their expiration date will be November 9th.
- Tickets are no longer valid after expiration and are non-refundable.
- We are unable to provide refunds after tickets are purchased. By placing your order, you are agreeing to these terms.
Monthly Value Plan
The monthly value plan offers a flat-rate fee that comes with a discount. The fee will be charged every month so you don't have to worry about purchasing tickets every time. When you sign up to this plan a set number of discounted tickets will be added to your account until cancellation. In addition, the plan offers the advantage of the ticket expiration date being automatically extended every month.
- For instance, if you hire an interpreter on a full-time basis, in addition to the cost of recruiting, you will need a monthly budget of $3K to $8K. Using Yoyaq will lead to big cost reductions.
- Please note that the number of tickets required for reservation varies depending on the interpreter, so the number of sessions that can be reserved will vary.
- Please pay by credit card. Invoiced non-credit card payment options are explained in a later section.

- With the monthly discount plans, ticket expiration is automatically extended by a month as long as the plan is renewed. Tickets will expire one month after the last month of purchase.
- Tickets are no longer valid after expiration and are non-refundable.

What happens if I use all my tickets with a monthly discount plan?
If you run out of tickets on a monthly discount plan and still require interpreting services, you can purchase additional tickets. Our spot plans allow you to purchase 5, 10, 40 or 80 tickets at a time. If you purchase additional tickets, the expiration on these tickets will be automatically extended as long as you renew your monthly discount plan.
Account pausing
We do not have a system in place for pausing a plan. If you are a Monthly Discount Plan user and you cancel the plan, you will not be billed after you cancel.Plans can be canceled easily on the website. Click here.
Payment methods
Our service supports payment by credit card.
Please note that at this time, we are not accepting bank transfers for customers using the service outside of Japan. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and will notify you if this payment option becomes available in the future.
Credit card
- We accept VISA, MasterCard, and JCB.
- If you select a monthly discount plan, your credit card will be billed monthly for the monthly price of the plan selected.
- Your card information will only be sent once. After that, it will be billed automatically, so there is no need to re-enter any information.
- You can reserve an interpreter as soon as payment is made.
